The Iorio Co. of NY city made both piano & diatonic button accordions. There were 180 people working at the Iorio factory during the late ’30’s - early ’40’s. They may have made many of the button boxes, or parts of them, for the Irish market that were sold by Baldoni and/or Walters.

Tom Carmody was a Kerryman who played in NY city. This photo was taken in Charlie Harris’ shop in Galway.

Augusto Iorio, engraved on this box, was the founder of the company in NY.
