1955 14’ Penn Yan Swift with a 1958 Super 35 Johnson

The Johnson 1958 FDE-12, 18hp. The 35hp was a little too much for the Swift so I replaced it with this 18hp.

This view shows the steering bar I added to the original handle bar. It allows easy attachment of 1950’s style clip on steering ropes. I also ran the PO15 on the Swift for a short time.

The 35 hp, Johnson RDS 20 on the Swift CUT, see pix at the top.

This engine was a ‘barn find’ and needed a LOT of work. Bill Mayer and I rebuilt it to run like new.

Replaced starter & choke switches & start solenoid.

All cover medallions are in place.

Comes with complete wire harness and 3 gal. plastic single line fuel tank, owner & parts manuals.
